Reading promotes brain development and imagination. It helps the child to know sounds, words and also stimulate curiosity.

To encourage our children in books, we provide picture books for infants and toddlers. Young children are allowed to choose their favourite books and read them along with their friends. Along with this they also listen to stories during story time/ mat time read by the teachers.

Story time at our centre involves reading books from various cultures, singing rhymes and songs.

As older children showed interest in various books, we also extended it by taking our 4-5-year-old children to the Mount Albert library. They chose a vast range of books that suited their interests. They read some stories along with their teachers and also shared the interesting pictures they found in the book.
